I cannot believe there is less than a week left in the year. Week 51's post is a day late due to the Holiday weekend being packed full of family plans. Soooo much good food and good company :)
This is the 2nd to last post of the year for my 2016 A Thing A Week series. "Distant Fire" is also the 2nd to last piece in my Elements series which is based on the art work of Alison Albrecht. While looking at the painting I got the feeling of a massive fire way off in the distance. Something like a huge hill-side wild fire, or even a distant Sun. The fire is absolutely raging, but from a long way off it appears to be almost still and just subtly changing and morphing. Neither growing nor dissipating. Always was. Always will be.
